Well, there is a story involved but first you must meet Annie Strayler Hofer.
Here she is pleading with her Dad to not make her pose in front of the Dog Christmas Tree
we have here in the lobby.
Once some of our guest dogs came in the lobby and saw her, she seemed to get into it and started to pose in front of their tree.
I think she was showing off in front of the dogs and trying to make them think she's Santa and responsible for all the toys and treats under the tree!
Annie Strayler is pretty special!
To make a tender and somewhat long story short, we don't take cats at the Looking Glass, only dogs, but this cat was a stray kitten found on the property that we cared for until just the right people came to rescue her from the elements and give her an amazing home.
We named her Strayler thinking she was a stray from a trailer up the street. :)
And then one day, some of our guests, Gary in the photos here (and his wife Dianne,) met the kitten during a visit of theirs and after they left and drove all the way home, nearly 6 hours away, they came back!
They came back for the kitten!
Makes me cry!
They call her Annie but we call her Annie Strayler. :)
